cathedral.jpg (39835 bytes)

This is a photo of a low level orientation flight for the 91st Bomb Group (H) non-flying personnel over Cologne after VE-Day.

Cologne was heavily bombed during WWII.  In this photo, the Cologne Cathedral is easy to spot as it stands tall over the other damaged buildings in the city. The building of the Cologne Cathedral was started in 1248 and completed in 1880.
