 VFW in Nevada Named After John C. Strozzi

A Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post (12108) in Beatty, Nevada was named after T/Sgt. John C. Strozzi (324th). T/Sgt. Strozzi was the Flight Engineer/Top Turret Gunner on the Coen crew that crashed in Paluel, France on 28 MARCH 1943. A plaque was erected in Paluel in memory of the crew of aircraft 42-29537. Some of the airmen were killed by German soldiers while parachuting down and others were killed in the crash.
