Our Gang Crew Factoid - "Our Gang" was one of the early B-17s assigned to the 91st BG. The crew's names were provided by Charles Leiman, original bombardier for Smitty's crew. The photo was taken 24 JUN 1943 by Pearson 8th AFHQ after the #2 supercharger failed and "Our Gang" aborted the missin to Le Mans and turned back before the rest of the planes also aborted and returned. The two canine mascots (Windy and Skipper) are from Casper, Wyoming.
